BCI has been increasingly called upon to conduct investigations surrounding officer involved critical incidents. Officers involved in critical incidents, and agencies who employ those officers, often have questions about what will happen when they call BCI to investigate these matters. This series of videos provides information about what a referring agency needs to do when initially responding to an officer involved critical incident, what BCI will and will not be doing, and then what to expect from BCI in the days following the critical incident. After taking this course, the participant should understand the fundamentals of what a referring agency needs to do when initially responding to an officer involved critical incident, what BCI will and will not be doing while on scene, and then what to expect from BCI in the days following a critical incident. Completing this course earns you 1 credit (hour).
