The courses included in this catalog are those that will fulfill the 2022 requirements for CPT hours within the category of Cultural Humility: Diversity, Inclusion, Equity.

 

The 4 hours that must be completed within this core topic can be done by selecting all of the modules provided in this catalog. For each course, 1 credit equals 1 hour toward CPT requirements.

 

This catalog contains 5½ hours of training for the Cultural Humility: Diversity, Inclusion, Equity category. 

 

Start with the Community Diversity and Procedural Justice course for 2.0 hours, and then choose two of the remaining three topics to compete the last two hours. 

 

If you choose Communication Disabilities, a 1.5 hour course, note that the additional half hour cannot be credited to another CPT category.

Courses
2 credits | This course provides strategies for both law enforcement individuals and agencies to continue influencing and building upon a favorable image with their communities. It is designed to increase knowledge, enhance self-awareness, and strengthen the skills of law enforcement officers who work both directly and indirectly with different cultures. 
Updated June 2022: The course provides practical and research-based strategies for interactions with individuals with communication disabilities or difficulties you will encounter in your position as an Ohio peace officer. You will also learn the connections with Ohio-based law for interacting with individuals with communication disabilities. Completing this course earns you 1.5 credits (hours).
This Diversity and Cultural Competency for Law Enforcement online training course is designed specifically for law enforcement professionals at the local, state, and federal levels to enhance their knowledge of cultural competency and build upon communication skills to better connect with the people within the communities they serve and understand diverse perspectives while keeping the peace. Completing this course earns you 1 credits (hour).
Updated August 2021: This course explores the issues of ethics and professionalism in the law enforcement environment. *Please note that this course contains limited audio.* Completing this course earns you 1 credit (hour).
