This catalog provides information about the mission of the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, including the development of training and the types of courses that are offered.

In a video message to Ohio law enforcement agencies describing the first steps in the OPOTA modernization, Dr. Robin S. Engel of the University of Cincinnati School of Criminal Justice and national risk-management and law enforcement training expert Gordon Graham offer support for the academy’s new direction.
Almost as many officers get killed in driving-related incidents as in shootings. This video provides an overview of the various driving courses offered at OPOTA designed to keep officers safe.
