Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy
The Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy houses both Commission and Training Academy staff. Commission staff oversees basic training requirements and curriculum for peace officers, private security, local corrections, jail personnel, K-9 units, and humane agents.
The Advanced Training staff provides law enforcement officers with innovative training in firearms, vehicle operations, subject control, de-escalation techniques, investigation & interviewing skills, and a variety of other areas relevant to current public safety needs. This training is offered both in London and at regional settings around Ohio.
